| Full Mission Chemical Tanker Cargo Handling Simulator (Management Level)

Course Description
The Simulator is based on a real Parcel chemical tanker (IMO Type II & III) of 17000 DWT. Cargo system consists of 20 cargo tanks of stainless steeel construction, segregated ballast system, Framo cargo pumps, air/nitrogen stripping system, vapor control system of PV valves and fixed tank cleaning machines in cargo tanks.
Vessel is provided with 20 manifolds and jumpers and can load upto 20 different grades of chemicals. Cargo plan is prepared on lodicator, which can also be monitored for on line stress parameters.
Real time training is provided with Chief officer monitoring & controlling cargo operations in CCR & duty officer conducting operations on deck.
Training Objective
- Familiarization with all cargo operational equipment & Instrumentation and controls.
- Greater awareness of the need for a proper pre-planning, the use of checklists in vaious cargo operations.
- Planning of multigrade cargo loading & discharging operations on loadicator.
- Line up for Loading, Discharging, Wall wash test, Tank cleaning, Ballasting, Inerting & Gas freeing.
- Monitor loading, stability, care during the voyage and unloading of Chemical cargo.
- Identify opeational problems and gain experience in solving them.
- Improve decision making ability to promote safety and protect environment.
